    The usages of 3D MAGIC v2
    3D MAGIC v2 professional lenticular 3D/Flips design software can be used to design the effects of 3D, Flips, and hundreds of combination effects, and can used widely in advertisement, design house, exhibition, indoor or outdoor decoration, wedding photography, personal photograph, gifts, package design, ink-jet printings, offset printings, and so on.


    The way to use 3D MAGIC v2
    1. Selecting the right lenticular materials according to the needs of your customs.
    2. Testing the Pitch exactly with 3D MAGIC v2 software.
    3. Designing the layered PSD files in Photoshop software according to the needs of your customs.
    4. Loading the layered PSD files into 3D MAGIC v2 software, and finishing the design with 3D MAGIC v2 software, according to the needs of your customs.
    5. Saving the preview as GIF file and send it to your customs to be confirmed.
    6. After confirmed of the design, saving the design as TIFF file in 3D MAGIC v2 software.
    7. Outputting the TIFF file by ink-jet printings or offset printings.
    8. If by offset printings, all works will be done by the offset output center.
    9. If by ink-jet printings,laminating the double-side transparent adhesive film on the output images, And then aligning the lenticular materials with the output images, Then laminating the lenticular materials with the output images to finish works.


    The basic function of 3D MAGIC v2 software
    1. Supporting RGB color mode and CMYK color (CMYK color only in 3D MAGIC v2 full edition software).
    2. Supporting the designs of layered 3D effects, 3D by drawing outline and 3D effects of single layer.
    3. Supporting the designs of rotating of single layer in one way or return, scaling of single layer in one way or return, fading of single layer in one way or return, moving horizontally of single layer in one way or return, moving vertically of single layer in one way or return, moving ahead and backwards of single layer in one way or return, cycle moving of single layer, and the combination effects of the single layer above.

    Layered 3D effects
    By using the layered PSD file generated by Photoshop software, and setting the parameters for 3D depth in 3D MAGIC software, the layers in PSD files can be thought as the objects in different positions in the space. Such 3D effects generated by layered PSD file directly have the width, height and depth, so called layered 3D effects. Layered 3D effects are suitable to the designs of deep space. Layered 3D effects are supported in 3D MAGIC v2 software and 3D MAGIC v1 software also. The designer can preview the layered 3D effects, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    3D by drawing outline
    The effects of 3D by drawing outline are also called the imitation of stereo-photos. In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the designs of 3D by drawing outline mean that many new layers can be got from a single layer by drawing the outlines on this single layer, and then use these new layers to design 3D effects, and there is smooth transition between each layer. It's suitable to establish the 3D effects of the object itself. There is no limitation in the number of the layers by drawing outline, no limitation in the number of the outlines in one layer, and the designer can add or delete layers in any position (even between the finished layers), and can make actions of editing, scaling, deleting on the paths of outlines. The depth of the layers can be set by auto or manual, and the focus position can be on any one of the layers. The differences between the effects of 3D by drawing outline and layered 3D effects are: The layered 3D effects use all layers of PSD file to establish 3D depth. But 3D by drawing outline only uses one layer of PSD file to do 3D effects, and 3D by drawing outline is only one of units in 3D environment. In layered 3D effects, there is no transition between each layer. So this method is very suitable to design 3D effects with many independent objects in deep space. In 3D by drawing outline, there is smooth transition between each layer. So this method is very suitable to design 3D effects of an object itself. The designer can preview the effects of 3D by drawing outline, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    3D effects of single layer
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the object on a single layer can be transferred to 3D effects by the one step command. This method is similar to 3D by drawing outline, but the designer don't need to establish the new layers by drawing outlines, it's made by 3D MAGIC v2 automatically according to the settings of designer. 3D effects of single layer are very useful to design the 3D effects of words, objects which are used to set off the 3D environment. By using the way of 3D effects of single layer, the designer can design 3D effects of the subsidiary objects quickly and easily. The designer can preview 3D effects of single layer, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    Rotating of single layer
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the object on a single layer can be made as rotating effects by the one step command. The designer can set the rotating steps, rotating center, rotating direction and rotating angles, and select the rotating effects in one way or return, and the software will demo the rotating effects simultaneously. Rotating in one way means that there is only uni-direction rotating in one rotating period, and the object is not back to the original position at the end of rotating period. So between the adjacent periods of rotating, the lenticular images will be twinkling. Rotating in return means that there is by-direction rotating in one rotating period, rotating and reverse rotating, and the object comes back to the original position at the end of rotating period. So between the adjacent periods of rotating, the lenticular images will not be twinkling. Scaling in one way means that there is only uni-direction scaling in one scaling period, and the object is not back to the original position at the end of scaling period. So between the adjacent periods of scaling, the lenticular images will be twinkling.     Fading of single layer
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the object on a single layer can be made as color fading to be transparent by the one step command. The designer can set the fading steps and the opacity at the end, and select the fading effects in one way or return, and the software will demo the fading effects simultaneously. Fading in one way means that there is only uni-direction fading in one fading period, i.e. color fading to be transparent, and the object is not back to the original color at the end of fading period. So between the adjacent periods of fading, the lenticular images will be twinkling. Fading in return means that there is by-direction fading in one fading period, fading to be transparent and reverse from transparent to original color. So between the adjacent periods of fading, the lenticular images will not be twinkling. The designer can select the auto views interference control to decrease the interference in the period of fading, and can preview the fading effects of single layer, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    Moving horizontally of single layer
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the object on a single layer can be made as moving horizontally by the one step command. The designer can set the moving steps and the range of moving left or right, and select the moving horizontally in one way or return. Moving horizontally in one way means that there is only uni-direction moving in one moving period, i.e. only left or right, and the object is not back to the original position at the end of moving period. So between the adjacent periods of moving, the lenticular images will be twinkling. Moving horizontally in return means that there is by-direction moving in one moving period, i.e. moving left and then moving right, or reverse, and the object comes back to the original position at the end of moving period. So between the adjacent periods of moving, the lenticular images will not be twinkling. The designer can make the object on a single layer to move left and or right, no change in shape and angle. The designer can select the auto views interference control to decrease the interference in the period of moving, and can preview the moving horizontally of single layer, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    Moving vertically of single layer
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the object on a single layer can be made as moving vertically by the one step command. The designer can set the moving steps and the range of moving up or down, and select the moving vertically in one way or return. Moving vertically in one way means that there is only uni-direction moving in one moving period, i.e. only up or down, and the object is not back to the original position at the end of moving period. So between the adjacent periods of moving, the lenticular images will be twinkling. Moving vertically in return means that there is by-direction moving in one moving period, i.e. moving up and then moving down, or reverse, and the object comes back to the original position at the end of moving period. So between the adjacent periods of moving, the lenticular images will not be twinkling. The designer can make the object on a single layer to move up and or down, no change in shape and angle. The designer can select the auto views interference control to decrease the interference in the period of moving, and can preview the moving vertically of single layer, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    Moving ahead and backwards of single layer
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the object on a single layer can be made as moving ahead and backwards by the one step command. The designer can set the moving steps and the depth of ahead and backwards, and select the moving ahead and backwards in one way or return. Moving ahead and backwards in one way means that there is only uni-direction moving in one moving period, i.e. only ahead or backwards, and the object is not back to the original position at the end of moving period. So between the adjacent periods of moving, the lenticular images will be twinkling. Moving ahead and backwards in return means that there is by-direction moving in one moving period, i.e. moving ahead and then moving backwards, or reverse, and the object comes back to the original position at the end of moving period. So between the adjacent periods of moving, the lenticular images will not be twinkling. The designer can make the object on a single layer to move ahead and backwards, no change of position in horizontal and vertical, but the depth changed according to the moving settings. This effects is too difficulty to imaginable, but the designer can design it with 3D MAGIC v2 software indeed. The designer can select the auto views interference control to decrease the interference in the period of moving, and can preview the moving ahead and backwards of single layer, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    Cycle moving of single layer
    With 3D MAGIC v2 software, the designer can design the so-called effects of super depth. To establish the super depth, the pictures on a single layer are compose of many sub figures in period, and these sub figures have the same period in horizontal. In lenticular images, when the view point is changed from one view angle to another view angle, the objects in the area of foreground or background will be twinkling. If the objects are in super depth, the objects will not be twinkling, because the period range of the sub figures is equal to the range of depth offsets. In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the designer only need to input the period range of the sub figures and determine where the super depth will be, foreground or background, then the software will generate automatically the super depth at the foreground or background area. So, the effects of cycle moving are one kind of 3D effects actually, but these 3D effects are made by moving method in 3D MAGIC v2 software. The designer can select the auto views interference control to decrease the interference in the period of moving, and can preview the cycle moving of single layer, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    The combination effects of single layer
    Because of the unique algorithm in 3D MAGIC v2 software, it makes the all effects of single layer can be used together, and will generate the daedal effects for lenticular images. For examples: If want to make the object on single layer be rotating with scaling at the same time, the only thing is to apply the rotating effects and scaling effects together on the object. If want to make the object on single layer be moving horizontally with scaling at the same time, the only thing is to apply the moving horizontally effects and scaling effects together on the object. If want to make the object on single layer be scaling with color fading at the same time, the only thing is to apply the scaling effects and fading effects together on the object. If want to make the object on single layer be moving straight in 45 degrees direction, the only thing is to apply the moving horizontally effects and moving vertically effects together on the object. If want to make the object on single layer be moving straight in 45 degrees direction with scaling at the same time, the only thing is to apply the moving horizontally effects, moving vertically effects and scaling effects together on the object.And so on. The combination of the effects of single layer above will yield more than 60 kinds of combinative effects.


    Layered Flip effects
    By using the layers of PSD files generated by Photoshop software, and setting parameters for flip effects in 3D MAGIC software, all layers (includes the background layer) can be thought as the units of flip, so this function is suitable for design the flip effects with non-common background image, includes the combination of stereo-photos, series views by 3D MAX, or other series views. Layered Flip effects are supported by 3D MAGIC v2 software and 3D MAGIC v1 software. The designer can preview the layered Flip effects, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    Morph effects
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, By selecting two adjacent layers and right key on them, then selecting the Morph Effects, it is easily to design the effect of the gradual changing between the images on two layers. The designer can preview the Morph effects, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies.


    Sub-3D by group
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the environment compose of all components in one design is called full environment. The simple environment may be composing of one set of objects. The complicated environment may be composing many sets of objects. The more number of objects, the setting and modifying of the depth of each object will be much difficulty. For example, it is very difficulty to establish the environment with hundreds of layers. In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the designer can simplify the design by using the functions of Sub-3D by group. The environment of Sub-3D by group can be thought as partial 3D space or sub-3D space. Two or more adjacent layers (or effects) can be grouped to construct sub-3D space. Sub-3D by Group have the same "view number" with the full environment, but the depth, forward offset and rear offset may be different. The depth range in sub-3D space is same with full environment also, so the objects in sub-3D space can be at any position in depth like in full environment. There is no limitation in the number of layers in Sub-3D by Group, and the designer can determine the number of layers as their needs. The function of Sub-3D by Group is very powerful to construct the complicated 3D environment. By using the function of Sub-3D by Group, a full environment can be composed by many sub-3D spaces, or a complicated designing can be composedby many simple designing. If some objects are needed to modify the settings, it is only need to do in the sub-3D spaces where the objects exist; it has nothing with other sub-3D spaces and full environment. The designer can simplify the design of full environment to many sub-3D spaces by the way of the area, the kinds of objects, or the stream of views. Besides, if the designer wants to make flip effects by grouping the layered 3D effects with any others (2D-3D effects or 3D-3D effects), at the first the layered 3D effects should be transferred as Sub-3D by group, then group this Sub-3D by group with any others to make flip effects. The units in Sub-3D by group may be only layers of PSD file, or 3D by drawing outline, or 3D effects of single layer, or flip effects of single layer, or flip effect on layer group, or even other Sub-3D effects. So, Sub-3D by group can not only be used to build the complicated full environment, but also to establish many kinds of the combination effects of 3D +Flips. For many senior designers of lenticular images, if they need to build a new full environment by using the designs finished before (or old design), they only need to transfer the old designs as many Sun-3D by groups, and set the parameters of each Sub-3D by group respectively according to each of the old designs. If so, the new full environment can be finished by using old designs easily and quickly. The usage of Sub-3D by group initiated in 3D MAGIC v2 software is very simple but powerful; it breaks the old concepts and limitations about 3D and Flips, and gives the all new concepts for lenticular images. The designer can use any materials or effects to design the effects of lenticular images, so makes the lenticular images more abundant contents, and make the design of lenticular images in professional.


    Flip effects on layer group
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, it is very easy to design the flip effects. Besides the flip effects of single layer (rotating, scaling, fading, moving and combination of them, or Morph effects), any two or more layers or effects can be grouped to design flip effects! The units of flip effects on layer group may be normal layers in PSD file, or 3D by drawing outline, or 3D effects of single layer, or flip effects of single layer, or Morph effects, or Sub-3D by group, or even other flip effects on layer group, so make the flip effects with many kinds and abundant contents. For example, 2D-2D flips (all units of flips are flat effects), 2D-3D flips (some units of flips are flat effects, others are 3D effects), and 3D-3D flips (all units of flips are 3D effects). Besides the abundant contents for flip effects, there are many optimized functions with flip effects on layer group: auto extending of the units of flips, auto views interference control, modifying the view angles of flip units relatively and auto aligning center. And the designer can preview the flip effects, save the design parameters, and save the preview as GIF flies at real time. So, the limitation in the design of lenticular flip effects has been broken by the function of flip effects on layer group initiated in 3D MAGIC v2 software, and makes the designer to design the flip effects in freewheeling and finish the complicated design of flip effects very easily.


    Auto views interference control
    To the designers of lenticular images, it is often difficulty to remove the views interference from the flip effects. In 3D MAGIC v2 software, there are the functions of auto views interference control for each kind of flip design, so decrease the views interference in furthest, and ease the work pressure of the designer. There are three kinds of way to do views interference control: transparent effect, color lightening and color darkening, and the control intensity is divided into 9 levels from light to strong. Transparent effect: the view interference control is done by make the two sides of the extended flip units to gradual transparent. Color lightening: the view interference control is done by make the two sides of the extended flip units to gradual lightening (or white color). Color darkening: the view interference control is done by make the two sides of the extended flip units to gradual darkening (or black color).


    Modifying the view angles of flip units relatively
    If there are 3D effects, Morph effects and flip effects of single layer in the design of the complicated flip effects, the enough view angles should be given to these effects, so let these effects to be shown in evidence. In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the designer can modify the view angles of flip units relatively to make them shown in evidence.


    Auto align center
    In the design of the combination effects of 3D+Flips, if the number of flip units is 2 or in even number, when you see the central image of 3D effects, the flip effects is in changing, and you will feel vertigo or dizzy. There is the function called Align Center in 3D MAGIC v2 software which can be used to eliminate this vertigo or dizzy: moving one flip unit to the center of central image of 3D effects, this flip unit is called central image of flip effects, other flip units are placed at the two side of the central image. The designer only need to appoint which one of flip units is the central image, and then the all task is completed by the software automatically.


    Mask effects
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the designer can use the Alpha channel of PSD files to add the new outlines (or inner outlines) for any designing effect, or cut the full image to many sub-areas. On the same layer or effect, many mask effects can be applied together. And in one design, the mask effects can be used many times. The mask effects initiated in 3D MAGIC v2 software break the limitation of the design of single object, so let the designer can arrange easily the contents of lenticular images as their wants, and improve the design of lenticular images from the singleness design to professional design in full page.


    Layer blending mode
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the layer blending mode has be introduced to the design of lenticular images, and the software can recognize the blending mode of layers in PSD files automatically, and the designer can set the different blending mode for each layer or effects to make the lenticular images more abundant contents and colors.


    Layer opacity
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the layer opacity has be introduced to the design of lenticular images, and the software can recognize the opacity of layers in PSD files automatically, and the designer can set the different opacity for each layer or effects to make the lenticular images be strong in expressive force.


    Pitch testing
    3D MAGIC v2 software has the Pitch testing function inside and the accuracy of testing will up 0.00001 (lpi or mm). The function of Pitch testing can be learned easily and quickly, and the unique way of pitch testing will simplify the process of normal pitch testing. 3D MAGIC v2 software can test and use all kinds of lenticular materials all over the world.


    Pitch list
    3D MAGIC v2 software has the Pitch list function inside to record, save, modify and load the pitch of the lenticular materials. By using this function, the designer can mange the Pitch of the lens very easily and avoid the mistakes of wrong Pitch inputting for each design.


    Compression of output data
    If the output data of the design is very large, it is difficulty to storage the output files, send output files and work on output files. In 3D MAGIC v2 software, the double resolutions for output TIFF files are initiated, and it make the designer to control the volume of output data easily according to the needs. Compression of output data is supported in 3D MAGIC v2 software only.


    Saving config file or loading config file
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, there are the functions of saving config file or loading config file for each layout of design. The designer can save the config files at any movement, and load the config file later, so the designer only need to save the original PSD file with config files when finished the design and it increases in maximum the storage efficiency of the computer and the design efficiency.


    The function of preview
    In 3D MAGIC v2 software, there are the functions of preview the effects and saving the preview as GIG file for each layout of design. The designer can preview the effects at any movement, and the GIF file can be sent to the customs to be confirmed in time, so the period of design will be shorten in maximum.
